Easy Cute Birthday Card

Today I had to make a birthday card for a friend so I thought I would show you how to make this very easy and cute birthday card!

Materials:
  • 2 pieces of white printer paper
  • Decorative tape
  • Clear sticky tape
  • Black Sharpie pen
  • Paper slicer

  1.  Take  one of the two pieces of printer paper and fold in half horizontally or "hamburger way."

  2. Have the fold on the left. Cut off about 1 1/4 inches of the top and the side across from the fold.
  3. On the other piece of paper cut a 2 inch on the long side.

  4. Cut the strip in two sections. One of the sections being about 4 6/8 inches and the other section being about 3 6/8 inches. It doesn't matter that much if you are not exact.

  5. Take 3 solid colors of decorative tape and stripe the larger piece of paper in a simple pattern ("red, yellow, blue, repeat" etc.)

  6. Take a patterned decorative tape and the small section of the strip you just cut. Tape the outside of the paper making a cute border.

  7. Grab the striped section of paper and flip it over so the back is facing up.

  8. Make 4 loops out tape and place on each of the four sides of the striped section of paper.

  9. Place the striped section in the upper right hand corner of the card with the fold facing up. The open side of the card should be on the bottom.

  10. Write Happy Birthday on the section of paper with the patterned decorative tape facing up.
This is the back side of the section of paper.

  11. Repeat step 8 but put the tape on this section instead.

  12. Place it overlapping the bottom left hand corner of the card overlapping the stripes. Congrats! You're done!
